Want to send a soldier a package and show your support but have no idea what to send, who to send it to , or how to send it?
Below is a suggested list of things to include in your package. "Who to send it to?" Just click on the email icon and we'll send you a soldiers name and address. We do not include this information here for security reasons. "How to send your package?" That's easy -the Post Office! You'll have to fill out a Customs Form which the postal clerk will give you, The cheapest way to send the package is by "flat rate." It all goes by weight. Before you send a letter or package to one of our soldiers or Marines overseas, make sure you're aware of certain restrictions. Every country has customs regulations regarding incoming mail. Although there are specific restrictions for each five-digit Military Post Office ZIP Code™ (APO/FPO), generally, the following are prohibited in the regions of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan war theatres: Obscene articles (prints, paintings, cards, films, videotapes, etc). Any matter depicting nude or seminude persons, pornographic or sexual items, or non-authorized political materials. Bulk quantities of religious materials contrary to the Islamic faith. Items for the personal use of the addressee are permissible. No pork or pork by-products. Military Restrictions. For specific restrictions and mailing rates to an APO/FPO address, visit the Rate Calculator. You can also call 1-800-ASK-USPS, consult your local Post Office™, or phone the Military Postal Service Agency at 1-800-810-6098. You will need a Customs Form (PS Form 2976-A) which you can get from the Post Office. You might want to enclose a personal note to the Service Member Do NOT send us packages, package materials, letters to soldiers, do NOT send cash donations to the Kitchen Table Gang Trust.
